FACE LIFT, ALSO KNOWN AS RHYTIDECTOMY, is an operation performed to remove sagging skin and deep lines and wrinkles from the face and neck. Aging, gravity, and weight fluctuations all contribute to diminished skin tone and facial contour changes. Common changes include excess skin and fat at the neck and jawline, deep smile lines, and muscle banding within the neck. To reverse these changes and achieve a long-lasting result, Dr. Adham performs a multi-layer procedure. In addition to elevating and redraping loose skin, Dr. Adham can also lift and reshape the deeper structures that provide far greater and more durable contour improvements. When needed, our we tighten neck muscles and often add liposuction to the procedure to remove fat deposits under the chin. Because a facelift is an entirely individualized procedure, the extent of the intervention, including scar length, is adjusted for each patient’s needs and desires. Our patients often request facelift surgery in conjunction with other facial procedures to provide complete harmony to a rejuvenated face. The goal is to retain all the assets that “make you look like you” but improving the weak areas to turn back the clock for a more youthful look.

EYE LIFT, ALSO CALLED BLEPHAROPLASTY,  is performed to rejuvenate aging changes around the upper and lower eyelids. Sun exposure, gravity, aging, and even hereditary factors contribute to excess wrinkling and sagging skin of the eyelids. Puffy bags under the eyes are common findings, as are droopy upper eyelids, a condition called eyelid PTOSIS. The most common remarks from people who have sagging eyelids is that they appear tired. These conditions can also interfere with vision if the eyelid overhangs the eye itself.

To overcome these problems, Dr. Adham can remove excess skin, fat, and even muscle to restore eyelid shape and contours. This is a highly precise procedure. The most common disappointing outcome is a “deer in the headlight” appearance, or dry eye from lids that don’t fully close. Dr. Adham is one of the most experienced surgeons in this procedure – and experience is what it takes to get it all right! Dr. Adham can repair both the upper and lower lids in the same procedure. This procedure can be done in the office under local anesthesia.

NECK LIFT, OR LOWER RHYTIDECTOMY, is a procedure to improve the neck (with or without the jawline) to address the signs of aging. Each procedure is matched to the individual needs of the patient. Generally, this procedure involves tightening the skin, but it may also include liposuction of the fat contours in the neck and jawline. Some patients may request tightening of the platysma muscle that runs in the front neck to provide additional smoothing. Incisions are place in inconspicuous areas to minimize unsightly scars.  Many women (and men) feel like the neck area is the most visible sign of aging.

BROW LIFT, ALSO KNOWN AS A FOREHEAD LIFT,  can be beneficial for women and men bothered by a low or drooping forehead. A lowering of the eyebrows is often associated with sagging skin. Lowering brows also contribute to heaviness in the upper eyelid. This heaviness can contribute to changes in vision – which can usually be corrected with a brow/eyelid lift. With this treatment, Dr. Adham can elevate skin and muscle tissues in the forehead region, helping reduce deep lines and furrows in the upper third of the face for a rested and youthful appearance.

OTOPLASTY, ALSO KNOWN AS A EAR PINNING, is a procedure to change the shape, position or size of the ears. You might choose to have otoplasty if you’re bothered by how far your ears stick out from your head. You might also consider otoplasty if your ear or ears are misshapen due to an injury or birth defect. Otoplasty can be done at any age after the ears have reached their full size — usually after age 5 — through adulthood.  This procedure is commonly performed in childhood, but it is not unusual for an adult to request it, and there is not danger in having this procedure later in life.  The procedure is purely cosmetic and does not effect the ability to hear.

RHINOPLASTY, ROUTINELY CALLED A NOSE JOB, is an operation performed to change the appearance of and the shape of the nose. Rhinoplasty can include reducing the size of the nose, removing a bony hump, refining the tip, narrowing the bridge, reducing the size or flair of the nostrils, and altering the angle between the nose and upper lip. While it is commonly performed for congenital nasal birth defects, many people have this procedure to correct nasal issues that arise from a previous nose injury. Usually unrelated to appearance, some breathing problems can also be addressed during a rhinoplasty.

Dr. Adham is highly experienced in performing rhinoplasty surgery to address both cosmetic and functional problems. Each treatment is designed to meet the unique needs of the individual. Dr. Adham is able to help his patients achieve a more desirable look and profile that is proportional to the rest of the face.
